History

The history of the world and individual countries is generally shelved in the 900s area of the non-fiction collection.

  • 909 World History
  • 930s History of the ancient world
  • 940s General History of Europe, eg World War One is usually 940.3; World War Two at 940.5
  • 950s General History of Asia and Far East
  • 960s History of Africa
  • 970s History of North Africa
  • 980s History of South America
  • 993 New Zealand History
  • 994 Australian history
  • 995 and 996 Pacific History

Two really good series to look at are: World history series and Seminar studies in history.  Both of these series have valuable information.

If you need more help, email the teens team.
