Remember - lots of the libraries have copies of Seventeen, Dolly, 19, Creme and other fashion mags which have advice for the Ball (or Prom). Come on in and browse.

Frogs and French kisses by Sarah Mlynowksi has Rachel trying to save the prom - a feat as the only non-witch in her family.
Know the Cinderella story? Check out Cinderella 2000 by Mavis Jukes. A funky retelling of the fairy tale set at the beginning of the new millennium.
Another retelling - but in a fairytale setting is Just Ella by Margaret Peterson Haddix. A story that's very similar to Drew Barrymore's movie Ever After but with an even more interesting twist.

Prom by Laurie Halse Anderson. Ash is just a normal girl - not one of the popular, in-crowd. Somehow she ends on the prom committee and organising the whole thing. And - because of her mum's history - Ash is in too much trouble to go to the prom anyway.
