Languages

Auckland City Libraries has a comprehensive collection of language books, dictionaries and audio language learning courses available for loan. The language courses usually comprise book(s) plus cassette(s) or compact disc(s).


In general, books about learning languages are in the 400s section of the library's non-fiction collection. For example:

German is in the 430s

French is in the 440s

Spanish is in the 460s

Latin is in the 470s

Chinese is at 495.1

Japanese is at 495.6
