A more substantial collection of jazz is found in
Naxos Music Library Jazz. This collection has almost 20,000 tracks from over 500 jazz artists.
This database has capacity for five users at any one time and is currently only accessible to library customers from home. Use the logout button in the database to end your session.

The Naxos Music Library offers the complete catalogue of Naxos recordings. Genres include:
- Classical - including ballet, chamber, choral, opera, orchestral and musicals
- Jazz contemporary
- Jazz, folk and blues legends
- World/folk
- New age
- Nostalgia
- Chinese music
The music is available in high quality 128K, 64K, or 20K audio streaming. You can only stream music online - it cannot be downloaded.

Each work is accompanied by background and composer notes, and the text resources section also includes opera synopses and libretti.

Advanced search
You have several search options, including:
- by opus number - enter the opus number of the work into field 3 (Disc/composition title). You need to enter it with correct fullstops and spaces. For example: Op. 32
- by composer work number - enter the work number into field 3 (Disc/composition title)
Most of the fields also have a list that you can select search terms from. Click on the magnifying glass symbol to see the list. |
