Index New Zealand contains more than half a million references from a variety of different publications, from popular magazines like Real Groove to scholarly titles like the Journal of the Polynesian society. A selection of New Zealand Newspapers are also included.
Finding articles
Index New Zealand provides references and abstracts of articles - it does not have them in fulltext. Records are added at a rate of 2500 per month and around a third of new records provide links to full articles.
However if you are unable to find a particular article, the Central City Library holds many of the titles, and staff are happy to help you find what you're looking for. Or, you can request an article using our email it 2 me service.
Search tips
Try a simple keyword search and see how you go. Other easy options include:
- Source journal (title of magazine, journal etc.)
- Article title
- Author
