It's great for those projects when all the books on the origins of the Second World War are out, or if you're looking for primary resources such as personal accounts of the Russian Revolution. Content is still weighted to the 20th century, but more resources are being added to extend the coverage.

Key contentThe History Resource Center integrates a wide range of resources. These include reference works, primary sources, and full-text articles from academic journals and magazines. It also contains full-text news digests from Keesings Contemporary Archive - a weekly diary of important events as they happened. View a full list of titles in the database. Search tips - Try a
Basic and see how you go. You'll find information from Reference Materials, Periodicals, Primary Resources or Multimedia. To broaden or narrow the search you can try the list of related subjects. - The
Advanced search allows you to combine search terms and choose the field to search. It also allows limiting by document type (e.g. Primary Resource) or by date. - Use the
Person for searching by nationality, profession, date of birth / death, birth-place or gender. - The
subject search takes you into a subject list to help you use the correct terminology to find what you are looking for. Searches can be modified using the Topic Tree.
