The EIU database provides full text information about a selected country's economy, business environment and political background. The database is ideal for anyone looking for an up to date and concise country profile.
The database is divided into two formats: country profiles and country reports.
Country profiles
Produced annually and contain an in-depth portrait of a country's politics; resources; economy; main economic sectors; and external trade and financial flows. Detailed statistical tables are included.
Country reports
Quarterly or monthly updates monitoring recent events and depicting the current economic and political situation with an outlook for the next two years.
Search tips
- Use the Country Profile section for detailed background information on a country.
- Use the Country Reports section for the most up to date political and economic information
You can search for a particular country by clicking onto the “All countries“ list or by selecting the geographical region (i.e Africa) and then selecting your particular country of choice.
Alternatively, articles and news items on a particular subject can be searched for using the Advanced search. Select a country on the left hand list and All publications on the right hand menu. In the search box below type in a word or phrase. For example, selecting Bulgaria as a country and All publications as the media and typing in “mining” in the search box, will bring up many articles and reports on that specific economic sector within Bulgaria.
