Accessing eBooks from home
If you are accessing eBooks from a computer outside the library you may need to create a free netLibrary account for yourself as follows:
- Login here with your library card barcode and PIN.
- The netLibrary page will open
- Click the green 'Create a Free Account' link at the top right of the netLibrary page.
- Complete the form
Now you can access the eBooks from home!
Key content
Our netLibrary collection contains over 700 eBooks on a wide range of subjects.
Highlights include:
- cookbooks and recipes
- kids' joke books and R.L Stine teen fiction
- Frommers travel guides
- CliffsNotes literature study guides.
There's also a wide range of books on topics like job interviews and careers, business and management, computing and web design.
Access and search eBooks
There are two ways you can access eBooks:
Use your library card barcode and PIN number to access 'eBooks - netLibrary' just like any other database. There you can search for a title, author or subject, or go to 'In Our Collection' to view all eBooks in the Auckland City Libraries collection.
Once you've found an eBook you want to read, click 'View this eBook' to see the entire text. You can search within the book, skip to a chapter, or simply read it page-by-page.
All our eBooks are listed on the library catalogue, eg. CliffsNotes Shakespeare's Macbeth. Click on the 'Connect to' link in the catalogue record to access the eBook in netLibrary. Use youre library card barcode and PIN to access. |
