Corporate membership

Corporate membership with Auckland City Libraries is designed for use by companies and early childhood agencies that are located within Auckland city.

To enrol online, please complete the enrolment form below. Note that for online enrolment you must provide a valid email address. Alternatively, enquire in person at any of our libraries.

Check out the Auckland city map to see if your company is eligible for free membership. Companies that are not entitled to free membership can join the Auckland City Libraries Information Supply Service for a fee. 

For companies enrolling online, once the membership has been processed we will post your library card to you. When you recieve this, you will have 30 days to validate your membership.

To validate your membership, a representative from your company will need to visit one of the Auckland City Libraries with the library card and the following two documents:

  • a copy of a current Auckland City rates demand or lease agreement
  • a letter of authority.

The letter of authority must be under the company or institution letterhead, signed by a person of authority, for example the owner or manager, and must be worded as follows:

As a business located within Auckland city we wish to obtain an Auckland City Libraries corporate membership card. 

We will take full responsibility for all items issued on this card and any fees or charges that may arise from its use.

Please complete the form and send to us. You must provide your company name, a contact person, postal and street addresses, and an email address for us to be able to process your application.

Auckland City Libraries is bound by the Privacy Act 1993 and respects the privacy of the information you provide.

Conditions of membership

Please read the following information carefully and then click on the "Please SEND our application" button below.

  • The company is responsible for all library materials issued on your card, and for any fees or charges that arise from its use.
  • The library must be notified of any changes to your contact information. This will help us to keep in touch with you.
  • Fines over $10 and/or 1 month old must be paid or some library services may be suspended.
  • The company’s library card must be presented to access library services.
  • The library reserves the right to report any default of payment to a debt collection agency.
  • The company agrees to follow the Auckland City Bylaws on library use.
  • The company is entitled to access, and have corrected if necessary, the information that we keep on your library record at any time.
  • Company memberships must be renewed annually.
  • Email communication may include Auckland City Libraries promotional material.
