Māori storytime at the library
The first storytime in Te Reo Māori was held Saturday 15 December at 11am. Mera Penehira came along with her magical coat of treasures to tell some of her favourite stories.
We hope to make Te Reo Māori storytime a monthly event in the new year. If you missed it this time you will have another chance to bring the kids in and take part! Mera is a warm and engaging storyteller who kept the children and more then a few adults entertained. We look forward to the next event.
Ngā Mātauranga Māori collection at Panmure
The Ngā Mātauranga Māori collection at Panmure Community Library has moved! Now located where the teens collection was by the far window, it looks fantastic in its new position.
There is much more room for the collection to grow and the new space increases the visibility of the collection.
Members of Te Rōpū Rātonga Māori had a great day visiting Panmure, moving the collection, meeting some of the community and taking part in the Christmas storytime.
