Book groups

Book club image.

Book club 1:

Every second Thursday of the month at 10.30am. 

Book club 2:

Third Wednesday of every month at 10.00am. 

If you love books and enjoy discussing your latest read with others then join us for some lively and stimulating discussions.  All warmly welcome.


No sweat kids book club

Held on the last Tuesday of every month at 4pm this is for kids aged between 8 and 13 years who are interested in talking about their favourite reads and hearing about the latest books that have arrived in the library.  Refreshments provided.


Children's storytime

Storytime image. With rhymes and songs every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday at 10am.

More storytimes at other libraries.


Active Movement (for 2 years and under)

Fortnightly, Wednesdays at 9.30am

Come and enjoy music and movement with your wee ones.  A lovely session for this age group.  9.30am 14 and 28 May and 11 and 25 June.

Seeking seniors!


Click and Learn: the basics

Learn how to use the library computers. This course is aimed at the complete computer novice. If you’ve never used a computer before and don’t know a mouse from a monitor, this course is for you. 

Click and Learn: internet

This course is aimed at those who are familiar with computers. Learn to search and browse the Internet and set up an email account.

From Camera to Computer: Working with digital photos

Join this three week course at St Heliers Community Library. Learn how to download, print and save photos from your camera; how to improve your photos through editing, plus how to share photos via email or websites with family and friends.
