Growing Families and Jingles'n'jives
Thursdays, 10am to noon.
Growing Families is a seven week parenting programme/course which aims to encourage holistic growth of parents and their children and to resource parents within their community.
It is a community collaboration involving the Salvation Army, Plunket, Auckland City Council, Ngati Whatua Community Health Service, Sport Auckland and Glen Innes Community Library.
First hour is facilitated by Salvation Army and includes topics celebrating parenthood, building self confidence, feeding our familes, growing a safe healthy family and belong to a community. This if followed by an active movement session with Jingles'n'Jives at 11.15am.
Next course starts on 11 October.

WINZ superannuation information drop-in
Thursdays, 10am - noon
A representative from the Panmure Work and Income superannuation team is in the library every Thursday. Either Roger Jordan, Vicki Taylor or Bruce Fraser will be available for New Zealand superannuation enquiries, for more information see the WINZ website.
Come celebrate Waitangi day and Chinese New Year at Glen innes Community Library, with Kapa Haka, Tai Chi, Chinese dance, brush calligraphy and lion dance performances. It’s happening on Wednesday 20th February, 4-6pm at Glen Innes Community Library.
This will be followed by free lantern making workshops on Thursday 21st and Friday 22nd February, 3-5pm at Glen Innes Community Library, and Saturday 23rd February, 9am-12pm at Glen Innes Community Centre, with prize giving to follow at 12.30pm. Prizes include best a $50 voucher for the best-made lanterns. Limited places are available so sign-up at the library now.
