During these April school holidays we’re celebrating the worlds of superheroes and superstars! To be in to WIN great prizes such as comics, first aid kits (even superheroes get hurt sometimes) and books, take part in our school holiday competitions:

Terms and conditions

  • These competitions are open to Auckland City Library members only.
  • The create your own superhero competition is open to children aged between 5 and 12 years inclusive.  All other entries are invalid.
  • Items for the select six entries must be from the children and teen collections, and must be issued on a card belonging to a child or a teenager.  Items issued on a parents card are invalid.
  • To be a valid entry it must be received between 14 April and 25 April 2007.  Entries before or after these dates are invalid.
  • All entries must be the work of the entrant only.  There may be no collaboration in the creation of the artwork.
  • There is no limit to the number of times that a person may enter these competitions. 
  • Family entries will not be accepted, each entry form must be for a single entrant. 
  • The results are final and no correspondence will be entered into.
  • The prizes are non-transferable and may not be redeemed for cash.  
  • The winner’s name and photo may be used for promotional purposes with the permission of a parent or legal guardian.
  • The terms and conditions of the competition are non-negotiable and no correspondence will be entered into.

Clued up.September 2006 - Clued Up

During the September school holidays we all were Clued Up - exploring the world of crime and mystery at Auckland City Libraries. Activities included the 'Guess who? challenge'. Congratulations to Sang for winning. Pictured below are the challenge finalists.
