Over 30,000 images from our photography collections are now available online. Photographers and subjects available through
Heritage Images Online include:
- Henry Winkelmann – Auckland from the late 19th century through to the 1920s.
- Herman Schmidt – portraits of First World War soldiers and the public.
- Clifton Firth – a selection of portraits from the 1930s-1970s, includes images of well-known personalities as well as the public.
- F G Radcliffe – views of New Zealand.
- Suburban views of Auckland City. Photos range from the 19th through to the 20th century.
Purchasing reproductions from the photography collection
It is possible to purchase reproductions of images in the photography collection. Please use our
online order forms, or download order and permission forms within the database.
Images are also available for purchase from the Special Collections at the Central City Library.
