Thursday Lunchtime Concert Series

Auckland City Libraries is delighted to bring to you another exciting Thursday Lunchtime Concert series.

Every Thursday from 12.10pm, beginning on 10th April,  talented local musicians will present a programme of beautiful music for you to enjoy. From singers to chamber music, solo classical guitar to cello, choirs and orchestras, there is a wide range of music making up an interesting and varied concert series. We will also be featuring some of the very talented music students from Auckland secondary schools.

Each week on this web page we will profile the artists performing. View a complete list of the concert series programme or pick up a brochure from your local library.

Come along and be refreshed and inspired. We look forward to seeing you there!

Martinu Trio

Exceptionally talented young musicians Gillian, Hye-won and Tony join together to present the beautiful Martinu Piano Trio.

Along with Leos Janacek, Bohuslav Martinu was one of the twin giants of Czech music in the twentieth century, a composer with a distinctly individual voice and a versatility that led him to excel in every medium from stage works to symphonies to string quartets.
