Religion and spirituality

Auckland City Libraries has an extensive collection of bibles and sacred books, with over 50 different translations of the Bible in over 30 different languages. Also, there are sacred texts for other faiths. Sir George Grey collected numerous editions of the Bible in many languages, and these were donated to the Library in 1887. You will locate these in the Special Collections section of the library.
