The inaugural Rugby World Cup was promoted by New Zealand and Australia. In the final held at Eden Park, Auckland, New Zealand, The All Blacks beat France 29 – 9 to become the first holders of the Webb Ellis Cup.This month New Zealand will compete in the 5th Rugby World Cup which is being held in France.
