Getting published

Looking for magazines to submit your work to?

The library subscribes to a number of magazines which accept work by new writers.

The latest issues of New Zealand’s most successful literary magazines - Landfall, Sport, Poetry NZ (edited by Alaistair Paterson) are available for borrowing.

Smaller literary magazines are often more accessible to new authors. Reference copies of magazines such as TakaheGlottis, and Spin are held in the heritage collection at the Central City Library.

I've finished my book, how do I find a publisher?

Guides to New Zealand publishing houses are shelved at 808.02.
