Graphic Novels

                            Speech bubble - 'What is a graphic novel.'

Speech bubble - 'Basically its a book length comic and no, not necessarily graphic in content.'

Take a look at our collection of graphic novels.  These can take the form of novels in comic format, book length comics, or they may be a series of comic strips collected and bound in one volume also known as Trade Paperbacks.  Often graphic novels are a collaborative piece involving the work of writer(s), artist(s), colourist(s) and letterer(s) which can be confusing when searching for an individuals' work.

Manga

This term is often used to describe any comic book originating from Japan, in reality it’s much more complex as ‘manga’ encompasses many different genre including specific types for a particular age group and gender.

Kodomo = for children

Shonen = boys 12-18

Shoujo = girls 12-18

Josei = women over 20

Seinen = men 18-30

Hentai = adult content
