Māori education

Māori education now extends to the same limits as State education, from Kōhanga Reo in the preschool years, to Kura Kaupapa Māori at school age and Whare Wānanga providing degrees, alongside many opportunities within State education to learn Te Reo and Māori culture. This Ministry of Education page contains spreadsheets that include contact details for Māori educational institutions. You will need Microsoft Excel to view them.

Takoa: te aka kumara o Aotearoa: Directory of Māori organisations and resource people in Aotearoa contains a list of Māori educators in the country, and may be found at all community libraries.
