What is educational theory?Issues concerning the theory and philosophies of education underpin every debate and decision made in the educational arena. This area covers broad questions such as: What is education? What is learning? How do we go about teaching? Each of these major questions lead on to very many more questions. Where can I find resources on education?Education has it's own section of the Dewey Decimal sequence, from 370-379. Any books starting with these numbers will discuss some aspect of education. Particularly useful here are the numbers 370.19, sociology of education, and 370.1, philosophy and theory of education.
