Grove Music provides access to the full text of three New Grove publications:
- The new Grove dictionary of music and musicians
- The new Grove dictionary of opera
- The new Grove dictionary of jazz
Sound enhanced musical examples and 3D images can be accessed within the fulltext of an article by clicking on the 'sounds' or illustrations' tabs.
You may require special software to be able to listen to sound enhanced music examples and view 3D images. this software can be downloaded for free from the Sibelius and Viewpoint websites.
Search tips
- Use the search box on the top right hand corner of each screen for
basic searches.
- Use the
advanced search option to find full text articles, biographies, bibliographies used in articles, or works by particular contributors.
- Use the
browse option to navigate through alphabetised lists of article headwords, authors, abbreviations and the index.
