Ancestry news

May 2005

Auckland City Libraries provides access to AncestryPlus as one of our subscription databases.  Recently Ancestry.com, the provider of AncestryPlus, switched exclusive global rights for public libraries from Gale to ProQuest.

The key change for Auckland City Libraries members is that from 1 May the licence agreement does not allow us to provide access to AncestryPlus from outside of the library. This means that customers wishing to use Ancestry.com must visit one of Auckland City Libraries to access the database.

More information on access to Ancestry Library.

For customers who are unable to visit an Auckland City library please make use of the Auckland Research Centre & research services.
