Manukau, Papakura and Franklin district

Manukau City and Papakura began to develop in the 1960s, and still have room for more growth in the East Tamaki area.

Self published, this is an excellent contribution to the history of the area.

 

Mangere

Mangere chronicles. (1991)

Published by the Mangere Historical Society, a well presented contribution to the history of the area.


Memories of Mangere. (2001)

Also published by the Mangere Historical Society, this includes short essays on the history of the area by local residents, mainly from the 1950s onwards.
