Auckland City provides access to ways in which people can assist through volunteer and not-for-profit organisations in the building of a strong, vibrant community. Find information on grants and funding available through Auckland City or training workshops run by community development services.

- Managing well - A noticeboard of resources and listings to help community and not-for-profit groups
- Community resource kit - a joint project from the Department of Internal Affairs and Ministry of Social Development. Aimed at small or emerging community and voluntary groups this resource covers how to get started, setting up a small group, finding funding, employment matters, and marketing.
ANGOA - Association of Non-Governmental Organisations of Aotearoa
This is a website of non-profit, non-governmental organisations. This group is involved in social change on a local, national and global scale. They are active in issues concerning human rights, environment, economic development, and voicing concerns to influence change of government policies.
New Zealand Council of Social Services
An umbrella organisation which aims to influence policy and achieve social change in its areas of concern. This organisation includes people who work for governent agencies, not-for-profit and voluntary organisations, who work together as a single voice to influence the people who make decisions which affect others.
The New Zealand Federation of Voluntary Welfare Organisations
A network of social service organisations. NZFVWO aims to promote an effective voluntary welfare and community sector that works in partnership with the government. This umbrella group acts to support and promote the role of those people who work in the voluntary sector.
Philanthropy New Zealand
Provides services to people and organisations that give for the good of the wider society. This site has the latest information on all types of giving and recommends other websites for specific information on related aspects of giving. |
