Library tours

Browsing Music in the basement in May

In celebration of NZ Music month we are giving customers a unique opportunity to browse the sheet music colllections in the basement from 13 May to 27 May. Staff will escort you into the stack where you can spend half an hour discovering wonderful musical treasures and borrow any scores of interest. Book a session online or phone (09) 307780

Tuesday evenings and Sunday mornings from 13 May through to 27 May (half hour sessions available)

Auckland Central City Library, 44-46 Lorne Street, Auckland City (Meet by the lift on the ground floor).

Go behind the scenes to the never seen depths of the Central City Library. Go below ground level where you will be shown the breadth of our amazing basement collections. Then up a few floors to our Preservation Unit and into Information Resources to learn about the life cycle of a book at the library.
