Auckland City Libraries is proud to be offering free
Wriggle & Rhyme: active movement for early learning sessions for parents and caregivers and their young babies.
A SPARC (Sport and Recreation NZ) initiative, Wriggle & Rhyme is a 30-minute music and movement programme aimed at stimulating babies' brain and body development, and is available at
all libraries except Waiheke.
Movement is a child’s first language, so it is important to provide babies with gentle exercise right from birth.
Parents and caregivers are encouraged to participate in the free weekly sessions to learn skills to put into practice at home.
While the activities are generally for babies, Wriggle & Rhyme sessions are fun and beneficial for older pre-schoolers as well.
