Onehunga Community Library was opened in December 2002, and is the newest library in the Auckland City Libraries system.

How to get to us

By bus:  Use the Maxx website to plan your bus route (using the journey planner feature, enter the words “Onehunga Library” in the appropriate suburb or landmark box.)

Parking:  Onehunga Community Library has a free large parking area at the rear of the building with disabled parking. There is one disabled parking space in Upper Municipal Place.

Library entrance:  The main entrance is at the front of the building.

Library Facilities

Public Toilets: There are public toilets located in the library building.

Public Telephone: There is no public telephone available in the library.


Community services

Community Advice Bureau: The Citizens Advice Bureau is located next to the community centre and library building on the corner of Church St and Lower Municipal Place.

Work and Income New Zealand: The WINZ Department is located at 201-211 Onehunga Mall, Onehunga.
