Membership card competition entry - adults #1. The recent membership card competition had library members across the city enthusiastically taking photos, sharpening their pencils and letting their imagination run wild in an effort to design the new Auckland City Libraries membership cards.

Open to three age categories, the competition attracted over 50 entries in a variety of different media. Library staff were overwhelmed with the outstanding quality of the work submitted, but after much debate, the designs of six finalists were chosen and hosted on the website. The winners were determined by public vote – which proved to be a very tight race generating over 1000 votes!

William Mitchell won the under 12 category, while Parnell’s Tabitha Yeoh won the 12 – 17 years age group, and Fiona Leitch won the over 18 years category. Our three winners will each receive a $20 book voucher, plus a framed copy of their respective design. Congratulations to our winners!

The new designs will be available from the end of December.
