A free database of selected road tests provided by Auckland City Libraries.
Road Test Index is a selective index of road tests in many of the car and motorbike magazines in the library's collection.
The Road Test Index includes vehicles which Auckland City Libraries believed would be imported in reasonable numbers into New Zealand. This includes:
- Cars
- light commercial vans and utes
- four-wheel-drive vehicles
- multipurpose vehicles
- motorbikes
- scooters
- farm bikes.
Not indexed are heavy trucks, racing and non-standard modified models.
Entries range in date from the early 1960s to 2006, and the database now contains over 13,000 records.
The information available includes:
- make
- Model
- Transmission
- number of doors
- engine size (in cc)
- magazine name and issue.
