To listen to WMA eAudio books on a MP3 player, it must play DRM-protected Windows Media content, and either support the bit rate of 32kbps or be able to transcode 32kbps files to a supported bit rate.
Below is a selected list of MP3 players that are compatible with WMA audiobooks:
- Creative Stone and Muvo (recommended by the Royal New Zealand Foundation of the Blind)
- iRiver T10, T30
- Philip's Go Gear (SA5115, SA5125, SA5145, SA6025, SA6045)
- Samsung YP-U3JQB (plus other current Samsung models)
- Sony NWZS615FS, NWDB103FB
These MP3 players are available for purchase through Dick Smith or Bond & Bond. They range in price from around $80 to $400.
Apple devices (iPod, iTouch, iPhone and Macs) do not support WMA audiobooks.
They only support MP3 audiobook files. Look for titles with the following icons:
