Logging in issues
We are aiming for a single log-in for the site, but we are still working through a few technical issues. In the meantime, you may need to enter your log-in details twice to access My Info and our eResources.
Forgotten your PIN number?
If you have forgotten your PIN number, you will need to contact us to have it reset. If you have linked your library card to your website account, you will then need to update your library card PIN number within your web profile.
Forgotten the password for your web account?
To have your password reset and emailed to you, fill out the form on the personal account page. Please note that the password is associated with your username, not your library barcode number. If you need to reset the PIN number associated with your barcode, you will need to contact us.
Accessing our eResources
A web account is not needed to access the eResources in our Digital Library. However you will need your barcode number and PIN to access our member-only databases. If you are in one of our libraries you will be able to access our online eResources without requiring a log-in.
Web profiles
Each website account created through the personal account section of this site, has a profile attached to it. These profiles are visible to all website users and are linked from all blog posts and comments, discussion comments and recommended lists.
Your profile can include a personal introduction, a photo and will also show any recommended lists and comments/posts that you have created.
Linking your card to your web account
You can link a library membership account to your personal website account by including your library card number and pin in your profile properties. This will allow you to login to the website with your barcode and pin or your username and password as well as simplify access to resources in the
Digital Library.
Creating a personal web account
- Go to personal account
- Click on Create a web account
- Username – choose a name. This is the name you log in with. It does not display anywhere on the site.
- First name - your first name
- Last name - your last name
- Nick name - this will display through out the site. if this is empty then your real name will be used
- Email – enter a valid email address (a verification email will be sent to this address to confirm registration with the website)
- Choose password – any combination will work
- Barcode and Pin – enter your library card barcode and pin number to link your library account to the web account
- Enter security code
- Submit
An email will be sent to you to confirm registration, click the link in the email to activate your web account.
